Dr. Greg Loy got his chiropractic start right here in the Winchester, VA area. The son of Glen and Betty Loy, Greg became aware of the benefits of chiropractic through his mother’s personal experience. After having fallen down a set of stairs Mrs. Loy suffered severe daily low back pain that reduced her to sitting in a reclined position. Chiropractic adjustments with Dr. Beatty gave his mother back her quality of life, thereby setting up a lifestyle that included chiropractic care for her son, Greg.
Dr. Loy began his pre-chiropractic education at LFCC and continued at Ambassador University in Big Sandy, Texas. The emphasis of study was the basic sciences which included organic chemistry, biology, basic anatomy and physiology courses. Dr. Loy received his Associates in Business and his Associates in Science in 1997.
After completing his undergraduate studies he was accepted at Life College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. During his four years at Life he studied anatomy, X-ray science, diagnosis, chiropractic technique and patient care. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in March of 2001 and returned to the Winchester area.
Dr. Loy has continued his chiropractic education through courses with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and received his Fellowship in Pediatrics after completing their 120 hour post-graduate course in April of 2003
Dr. Loy recently completed his Acupuncture training through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. This added therapy will help to reach more patients in need.
Dr. Loy is married to Tammy and they have two boys and a daughter. All the children have been under chiropractic care resulting in exceptional health.
